 Lyn Bruce - Chairman

Lyn has extensive experience in management, strategy & financial planning in aged care, acute & rural health. She is a Fellow of Australasian College Health Service Management. She joined the board with these organisational skills and a desire to foster culture and diversity in Western Sydney.

 
Robert Love - Director

Robert Love graduated with an Arts degree from the University of NSW (majoring in drama) in 1975 and has worked in the performing arts ever since. From 1983-88 he was General Manager of the University’s of Sydney’s Seymour Centre and in 1986/87 simultaneously administered the New Nimrod at Seymour.  Then followed five years as General Manager of State Theatre Company of South Australia, a year as Special Projects Manager and four years as General Manager of Sydney Theatre Company.  In 1997/98 he worked during the set up phase of Fox Studios as General Manager, Venues and Entertainment.  Eighteen months of freelancing followed including a touring feasibility study in India and managing the News Limited’s nightclub during the Olympics.  

 

Late in 2000 he was appointed Director of Riverside Theatres, Parramatta where he co-ordinated the refurbishment of the building and facilities and reinvigorated the performance, education and events program initiating the Big Laugh Comedy Festival (2001- 07), an enlarged annual subscription season of theatre, dance and opera, a schools and family program, a music series, Big Notes, and extended the Parramatta programs of the Sydney Festival, Sydney Writers Festival and the Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. At Riverside, he has actively supported the development of Beyond the Square program in the arts for people with disability, FORM (previously Western Sydney Dance Action), the True West and Break Out theatre development programs, the Sacred Music Festival and Parramasala (Festival of South Asian Arts).

 

He continues to dream and work on establishing a resident performance organisation.


 
 Kate Tribe - Director

Kate has over 17 years of business, market research and analytical experience. She founded Tribe Research, was the Chair of the Independent Researchers Group of the Australian Marketing & Social Research Society & research advisor to the Australian Businesswomen’s Network. She’s worked with a range of business, member based organisations, not for profit & government organisations.

Kate’s passion for classical music was fostered by her friendship with her grandfather, Ken Tribe. She is the founder of classikON which promotes concerts being performed by professional musicians outside main concert halls.


 Khai Dang - Director

Khai provides commercial, transactional and advisory legal services, drawn from more than 17 years of working in the TMT space in Australia and Asia. He is known for providing strategic yet pragmatic solutions. He has experience supporting clients in various sectors, including ICT, media, financial services, health, education, government and construction.

Khai is listed in Chambers Asia 2013 as "Up & Coming" for TMT, and in Best Lawyers (Australia) 2013 in the area of telecommunications. He has also been recommended by Leading Lawyers 2012 in Australia in the ICT category.  Khai holds Bachelor of Law (Hons) and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degrees from the University of Sydney.
 

 Michael Smetanin - Director

Michael Smetanin born in Sydney in 1958, completed study at the Sydney Conservatorium in 1981 and three years study with Louis Andriessen at the Royal Conservatorium in the Hague between 1982-84. Smetanin’s music has been extensively commissioned, performed, and recorded   internationally with works appearing on over 30 commercially released CD albums. Commissions include those from Schoenberg Ensemble, Bang on a Can All Stars, Orkest de Volharding, Elision and major orchestras in Australia. He holds a PhD in composition and has lectured at the Sydney Conservatorium since 1988 and was Chair of Composition for nine years.

 
 Steve Davidson - Director

Experienced corporate finance and administration professional with more than thirty years' experience in senior management roles, in multinational and government corporations and not-for-profit companies. Has highly developed skills in financial controllership, business planning, I.T. systems, HR management and corporate governance, most recently as Corporate Services Manager for the Australian Chamber Orchestra. Holds a BA in accounting from Macquarie University and is also on the boards of The Song Company and EyeCo Pty Ltd.
